Jakarta, UNJ Public Relations — Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) participated in the France–Indonesia Discussion Forum hosted by the Embassy of France at the official residence of the French Ambassador to Indonesia on 7 November 2025 in Jakarta. The forum brought together key figures from the education, government, and industry sectors to enhance bilateral cooperation and promote cultural and academic exchange between France and Indonesia.

UNJ’s participation underscored its active role in developing international partnerships, particularly in the fields of education, language, and innovation. The university reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing globally minded graduates through cross-cultural collaboration and academic excellence, in line with its vision of becoming a World Class Educational Institution.

In his remarks, Fabien Penone, the French Ambassador to Indonesia, expressed his deep appreciation for UNJ’s continuous engagement in strengthening educational ties between the two nations. He highlighted the collaboration between UNJ and the French Government through the President Emmanuel Macron Discussion Forum as an exemplary model of meaningful and impactful partnership.

The Ambassador also praised the Francetrack Program at Labschool Cibubur, a school under the UNJ Foundation, as a leading initiative that successfully integrates the French language and culture into Indonesia’s educational framework.

“UNJ’s efforts in advancing academic collaboration and cross-cultural understanding reflect the shared vision of Indonesia and France in building an innovative and inclusive future,” said Ambassador Penone.

Meanwhile, Sri Rahayu, Secretary of the Office of International Affairs at UNJ, who attended the event, stated that the forum provided a strategic platform to explore future collaboration opportunities for UNJ, including joint research, faculty and student exchanges, as well as the development of bilingual and international education programs.

She further emphasized that UNJ’s participation reinforced the university’s mission to expand global partnerships and strengthen international academic collaboration, aligning with UNJ’s vision as a World Class University that connects science, culture, and innovation across nations.

The event concluded with a networking reception celebrating the enduring friendship between France and Indonesia through the exchange of ideas and cultural appreciation, complemented by a culinary showcase representing both countries.
